About the Role As a Registered Scrub Scout Nurse, you will play a key role in providing expert perioperative care to patients undergoing a wide range of elective orthopaedic procedures. You will work alongside a dedicated team of surgeons, anaesthetists, and fellow theatre staff, contributing to outstanding patient experiences and clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Scrub and scout for a variety of complex elective orthopaedic cases. Ensure safe and effective preparation and handling of instruments, equipment, and supplies. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support seamless surgical workflows. Maintain the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the theatre department. Minimum Criteria: To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (or eligibility to obtain). Minimum of 3 years' recent orthopaedic scrub/scout experience, including: Skilled in major joint arthroplasty, including hips, knees, and shoulders. Experience with Foot & Ankle, ACL reconstructions, fracture ORIFs, and arthroscopy. Robotic joint replacement experience (desirable), with systems such as Stryker Mako and Zimmer Rosa highly regarded. Strong knowledge of perioperative best practice and patient safety principles.
