Senior Electrical Supervisor Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Supervisor to join our facilities maintenance team at the Broken Hill Correctional Centre. As a Senior Trade Overseer Electrician, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to junior staff members and inmates in carrying out programmed and reactive maintenance tasks.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical trade skills, including a minimum Certificate III in Electro Technology or similar related trades. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities while ensuring a high level of safety and quality. You will also be required to participate in on-call rosters and work flexible hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members and inmates in carrying out electrical maintenance tasks.
* Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and programs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
* Manage and supervise inmate work crews, providing coaching and training as needed.
* Collaborate with other departments and teams to achieve business objectives and improve overall centre operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

* A minimum Certificate III in Electro Technology or similar related trades.
* Proven experience in electrical trade supervision and leadership roles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
