The Opportunity
Hall Contracting's Brisbane office is seeking an experienced Document Controller to support a range of domestic dredging and marine infrastructure projects. This is an office-based role and is critical to ensuring project documentation is accurately controlled, compliant, and efficiently managed across multiple client environments.
While the primary focus of the role is document control, there will also be an element of project administration, supporting project teams with coordination, reporting, and day-to-day administrative tasks. As document systems vary from client to client, flexibility and a strong understanding of document management platforms are essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and operate project document control systems, ensuring accurate creation, receipt, revision, distribution, and archiving of project documentation
* Manage document transmittals and incoming/outgoing correspondence in accordance with client and project requirements
* Ensure document version control, quality checks, and compliance with internal and project-specific standards
* Maintain document registers and structured filing systems across multiple projects
* Adapt to varying client document management systems and workflows
* Provide project administration support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and coordinating project communications
* Assist with preparation, formatting, and distribution of project correspondence, registers, and reports
* Support Project Managers by tracking deliverables, monitoring deadlines, and maintaining project calendars
* Liaise with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely document submission and approvals
About You
* Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction, engineering, or marine infrastructure projects (highly regarded)
* Strong understanding of document management systems such as Aconex, InEight, and SharePoint, with the ability to adapt to client-specific platforms
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and document quality
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
