Job Title: Structural and Mechanical Project Engineer
About the Role:
The Structural and Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for preparing, presenting, and delivering Defence tenders. This involves cost-planning, engineering procurement, and flexible work arrangements in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing structural, mechanical, and piping components in construction projects. The successful candidate will develop accurate cost estimates, analyze cost escalation, and compile material quantity take-offs and bills of quantities. They will also create estimates from first principles using site productivity rates, validate subcontractor pricing across disciplines, and ensure quality documentation project management systems are complete.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need experience in engineering and resource industries, with prior experience in Defence sector, construction, process and non-process infrastructure, and water / wastewater treatment highly desirable. You should have financial and commercial acumen, people skills, confident, professional, and self-motivated, and be able to multitask and meet deadlines. Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar equivalent are required.
