Own the Portfolio. Drive the Growth.
Are you a senior technical professional ready to take ownership of a diverse portfolio. We are seeking two pivotal leaders to join our statewide management team. Whether your expertise lies in high-volume service delivery or complex project execution, we provide a professional, grounded environment where technical authority and commercial common sense are rewarded. Working alongside our other specialist divisions, you will be responsible for ensuring our high-performing electrical technicians deliver high-quality, reliable work across intricate industrial and commercial assets.
A Career with Impact
We provide a professional, grounded environment where expertise is rewarded. You will have the autonomy to manage your division, the support of a statewide management structure, and the opportunity to grow a premier service or project portfolio in the Southern region. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for someone who values technical excellence and commercial success.
Why the Service Manager role is right for you
You will manage a portfolio that includes everything from critical reactive breakdowns to high-value preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
In this role, you will:
* Provide Operational Air Cover: You ensure your team of senior technicians has the parts, access, and technical data they need to work without friction. You clear the hurdles so they can focus on the tools.
* Master the System: You will lead the way in simPRO, ensuring that every job is captured, scheduled, and billed with absolute precision. You understand that system integrity is the engine of a healthy branch.
* Cultivate Client Partnerships: As the primary contact for Southern facility managers and key accounts, you will build trust through professional communication and reliable delivery under established SLAs.
* Identify the Future: You will use your technical eye to spot opportunities for system upgrades and energy efficiencies, turning site findings into professional quotes and long-term value for our clients.
Why the Project Manager role is right for you
In this role, you take the lead on electrical, data, and communications projects from initial estimate to final handover. You are the bridge between our clients’ visions and our technical delivery.
In this role, you will:
* Navigate the Lifecycle: You lead projects with real ownership, managing planning, resource coordination, and stakeholder expectations to ensure milestones are met without compromising quality.
* Build the Pipeline: You will use your technical expertise to prepare and submit quotes, identifying value-engineering opportunities that benefit both the client and the business.
* Drive On-Site Excellence: You are responsible for ensuring every project is delivered safely and stays compliant, providing the \"on-the-ground\" problem-solving that keeps momentum high.
* Foster a Project Culture: You lead your team by example, ensuring that professionalism and pride in workmanship are at the core of every installation.
What you bring to the Hobart Team
Whether applying for Service or Projects, you are a calm, authoritative leader who knows the Tasmanian trade environment.
* Trade Expertise: A-Grade Electrician (Tasmanian Licence) with a strong technical background in commercial or industrial environments.
* Operational Discipline: Proven experience managing teams, high-volume schedules, or multi-stage projects.
* Commercial Common Sense: A sharp eye for labour recovery, GP margins, and the \"business\" of contracting.
* System Fluency: Ideally, you have experience with simPRO or similar job-management platforms to ensure data integrity.
