If you are looking to springboard your career and join a globally iconic company, then we want to hear from you.To be successful in this role you will have a solid background in hospitality business development, playing a critical role driving revenue through development and implementation of strategies.It is crucial that you are able to demonstrate an ability to build and maintain strong business partnership in the hospitality business.You will be responsible for ensuring reactive and proactive sales opportunities are maximised, events are carefully planned and run smoothly, and market/sales strategies are implementedYour day to dayPeopleUndertakedailysalesactivities, plan and undertake work, working proactively work with hotel and cluster hotel colleagues ensuring hotel revenue goalsachievedWork proactively with the Hotel Director of Sales and cluster Marketing and Sales Team to maximise revenue and growth opportunities.Champion a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one teamWork collaboratively across the Hotel to ensure the smooth running of eventsInteract with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as neededDevelop and maintaingreat workingrelationships with key clients andoutside contactstoincrease revenueFinancialHit allpersonal/team sales goals and maximise profitabilityAssist in the preparation of budgets and financial plansincludingthe hotel marketing planImplement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, foodand beverage and banquet salesAssist in the production of monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue planWork collaboratively with your team to review monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue planHelp create and develop special events and sales campaigns to showcase the hotel to potential clients. Attend trade shows, industry events and major market events locally and nationally to promote new business and increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotelBuild and maintain a list of prospect clients. Contact prospects with the goal of showcasing the hotel, contracting business and ensure work translates into room nights at the hotel.Guest ExperienceProvide guests with information (example: loyalty programs, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance guest experienceCoordinate scheduling of conferencing and/or group accommodation at the hotel and coordinate with other departments to deliver services and events.Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP’s, large groups, and other key guestsAssist with marketing efforts to up sell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenitiesResponsible BusinessWork closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups within the city to ensure constant high-profile exposure for the hotelEffectively communicate and market aspects of the hotel that are sustainable or “green” and use information to gain new business opportunitiesWork with advertising agencies, consulting firms, and vendors to maximise advertising investments and ensure ads represent brand identityRaise the awareness and reputation of your hotel and the brand locally–occasionallyacting as hotelrepresentative for media related enquiriesIdentifyimprovements tomarketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work withother departmentsAd-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task doneAccountabilityThis role has considerable autonomy reporting directly to the Director of SalesYou will work closely with the broader Hotel and Owners Group - Sales and Marketing Team.
