Overview
Location: Guildford PDC, WA, AU
Reporting into Technical Engineering Manager, the Graduate Mechanical Engineer will join our Engineering Department on a 2 year fixed-term basis at our Parts Distribution Centre in South Guildford, WA. This role involves crafting certified, safe, and legally compliant Engineered Designs.
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)
Responsibilities
* Creation of approved Engineered designs/solutions.
* Assist with the analysis of Engineering Work Requests and consultation with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and CAT systems to evaluate and select/create designs that fulfil technical specifications and customer requirements.
* Assist with the analysis of existing Dealer Provided Options (DPO) and consultation with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and CAT systems to evaluate and select/create designs that fulfil customer requirements and technical specifications.
* Conduct compliance, safety and risk assessments.
* Scope out, design and conduct appropriate analysis for Engineering activities.
* Conduct/document design calculations and drawings.
* Produce 3D models of modifications to CAT machinery using Inventor CAD software.
* Work with senior team members to create safe and compliant designs
* Review engineering requests and consult with stakeholders to meet specifications
* Conduct safety and risk assessments
* Create 3D models using Inventor CAD software
* Collaborate with Electrical Engineers on design documentation
* Develop design verification plans and reports
* Support various business operations with engineering expertise
* Organise and maintain engineering records
Skills & Experience
* Recently completed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
* Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
* Advanced computer skills
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
* Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Work independently and in a team
* Knowledge of mobile plant operations (Desired)
* Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor (Desired)
