Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring a seamless guest experience
* Act as the senior manager on duty, handling any guest enquiries, complaints, or incidents with professionalism and efficiency
* Conduct night audit procedures, ensuring accuracy across financial reporting and system reconciliation
* Maintain a strong presence in the lobby and key guest areas, delivering a high level of personalised service
* Ensure all security, safety, and WHS procedures are followed, including incident management and reporting
* Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure operational readiness for the following day
* Monitor arrivals, departures, and room allocations to ensure optimal guest flow
* Lead and support the overnight team, fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture
* Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, acting as the key point of contact overnight
* Prepare and distribute relevant daily reports and handovers for senior leadership
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in a Night Manager, Duty Manager, or senior Front Office role within a hotel environment
* Strong understanding of night audit processes, financial reconciliation, and hotel systems
* Exceptional guest service skills, with the ability to manage complex situations confidently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to lead and influence a team
* High level of organisation and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently, make decisions, and remain calm under pressure
* Solid understanding of hotel operations, safety, and compliance standards
* A proactive, hands‐on approach with a strong sense of accountability
* Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
* Experience with hotel PMS systems (e.g. Opera or similar) highly regarded
