Our client is a successful, Australian-owned company involved in the supply and application of specialised products to surfaces in the construction, marine, defence and mining sectors. Based in Henderson, this is a busy and growing company in need of skilled and experienced Trade Assistants with great hands‐on skills, a steady work history and the desire to secure on‐going work with training provided as required.
Work will largely be in the marine and defence sectors therefore a pre‐employment medical and a current Police clearance will be required for this role.
Key Details of the Role
* Normal rates from $35.20 to $43.50 plus super per hour and $45.52 to $53.52 per hour plus super for overtime. Rate will depend on skills and experience. About 2 hours of overtime available each day.
* Monday to Friday – 6:30am – 4:30pm. There is also the 3:30pm - 1am shift available on some sites.
* White Card and Driver's License required.
* Confined Space Entry/Exit certificate required.
* Elevated Work Platform certificate required.
Job Responsibilities
* Application of protection materials to various surfaces.
* Keeping surfaces and workplace clean as part of the process and carrying out high level cleaning processes on site in a construction environment.
* Stock take of materials and products.
* Conduct HSEQ risk assessments on site.
* Work as part of a positive team.
* Take directions and be organised and efficient.
* Be able to work alone if required.
* Show great attention to detail.
* Basic paint preparation and touch ups.
* Communicate well and demonstrate excellent customer service.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Trades Assistant in a similar environment.
* Living in Perth and having full, long‐term working rights in Australia.
