Early Childhood Support Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an Early Childhood Support Specialist.
In this role, you will work closely with families to provide support and guidance to children aged 0-9 with developmental delays and/or disabilities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized plans to promote the children's independence, social participation, and overall well-being.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications in Early Childhood, Allied Health, Social Work, or a related field. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Family-Centred Approach: Develop and implement child and family-centred approaches to ensure children receive the appropriate interventions based on best practice evidence.
* Evidence-Based Decision Making: Use qualifications in Early Childhood, Allied Health, Social Work, or a related field to inform evidence-based decision-making.
* Functional Assessments: Complete functional assessments for children with developmental concerns or disabilities, determining their needs and ensuring timely referrals to appropriate support pathways.
* Community Connections: Connect families to community services and mainstream programs to enhance their social participation and access to essential services.
* NDIS Plan Management: Guide families through NDIS plan reassessments, gathering evidence, assisting with goal development, and ensuring the right support is in place.
* Improved Outcomes: Utilise the NDIS plan to support children and their families with improved choice, control, social participation, and overall quality of life.
