Senior Business Analyst – Cyber Security & Lifecycle Management

The Role
The Senior BA will be joining the team during an active phase of Cyber Security program delivery for one of Australia's leading telecommunications companies. The candidate will play a critical role in unifying End-of-Life (EOL) lifecycle projects across multiple business units including Voice, Consumer, Corporate, and IT teams.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across a complex, multi-team environment.
* Experience with Cyber Security projects and understanding of relevant threats and vulnerabilities is essential.
* Hands‑on experience with CMDB (Configuration Management Database) is essential.
* Gather functional and non-functional requirements across security and infrastructure domains.
* Conduct comprehensive business process modelling across end-of-life and lifecycle management programs.
* Create business, software, and information-level models using techniques such as BPMN, use cases, wireframes, and data modelling.
* Develop user stories based on your analysis.
* Facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholders across Voice, Consumer, Corporate, and IT.
* Maintain and update information in Jira and Confluence.

Skills & Experience
* Highly Regarded: Previous experience working with a major Australian telco such as Telstra, NBN Co, Vodafone, Optus, or an energy provider such as AEMO
* Proven hands‑on experience with Lifecycle Management and End-of-Life (EOL) programs
* Strong CMDB experience from a BA perspective.
* Proven experience working on Cyber Security projects.
* Hybrid working model across both Agile and Waterfall projects.
* Strong requirement gathering, business process modelling, and user story development skills
* Experience managing medium to large projects involving technology solutions and diverse stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
