Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing

Rate $45 + super + overtime + shift loadings
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well established food manufacturing site in Adelaide. This is a hands on role working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting production through proactive and reactive maintenance.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard to minimise downtime and support safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on food manufacturing equipment
* Fault finding and repairs on mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and packaging machinery
* Perform changeovers and continuous improvement tasks to optimise plant performance
* Assist with planned shutdowns and maintenance schedules
* Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety, quality, and OH&S standards
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime
About You
* Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in food manufacturing / FMCG environments
* Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong safety mindset and understanding of GMP environments
* Flexibility to work shifts (if required)
