We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nurse Consultant to provide leadership and expertise in the mental health division.
About The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing discipline-specific nursing leadership, advising on clinical nursing and workforce planning issues, and ensuring the effective delivery of quality clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide discipline-specific nursing leadership for the mental health division.
* Advise the General Manager/Director of Clinical Services on clinical nursing and workforce planning issues.
* Ensure the effective delivery of quality clinical services.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Extensive senior mental health nurse experience (at least five years) in a range of settings.
* Highly developed knowledge and understanding of nursing research, service and practice development methodology.
* Capacity to support and build a positive culture in the nursing workforce and to develop the senior nurse workforce as a leadership group.
Requirements
* Registered nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (2009) with AHPRA.
* Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
