About The Remote Pools Project:
The Remote Pools Project is a community-led initiative focused on improving the health and wellbeing of First Nations communities in remote Australia. By operating and revitalizing swimming pools in areas like Central and Top End Northern Territory, we promote water safety, physical activity, and social connection. Our pools serve as vital community hubs, offering a safe, fun space for families and fostering health education.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Ngukurr community pool on a contract full time basis. As the Duty Manager, you will ensure safety, cleanliness, and excellent service for all pool users, while also leading a local team. You'll be responsible for facilitating the continued success of these essential community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the daily operations of remote community pools in collaboration with local teams.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, including pool maintenance and water quality.
* Provide leadership and training to local staff, helping them develop skills in customer service and pool management.
* Engage with the community to promote water safety education and health programs.
* Handle customer service inquiries and resolve any issues that arise.
* Monitor pool facilities and equipment, coordinating repairs and maintenance as necessary.
* Support local staff with logistical coordination for accommodation and transport.
* Be the point of contact for emergency situations and escalated concerns.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in pool management, hospitality, or a related field.
* Knowledge of pool maintenance, water quality standards, and health and safety protocols.
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Previous experience working in remote or cross-cultural environments is an advantage.
* First aid and lifeguard certifications (or willingness to obtain).
* Commitment to working closely with local First Nations communities to deliver health and wellness benefits.
* Ability to adapt and thrive in challenging and remote environments.
* Current NT driver's license.
