About us:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Australia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex mechanical engineering solutions that support our cutting-edge aerospace and defence projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Key responsibilities
* Oversee the design, development and implementation of mechanical systems and components
* Lead a team of mechanical engineers to ensure projects design meets the customer needs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger system architectures
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to more junior members of the engineering team
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and regulatory requirements
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
About you:
* Degree in Mechancal/Mechartonic Engineering or a related field
* 10+ years' experience as an Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer, with a proven track record of leading complex projects
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical design, analysis and testing and verification techniques
* Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Experience working in the aerospace or defence industry is highly desirable
* Ability to obtain the necessary security clearances
Special Requirements:
