About the Roles
As part of our continued growth in Newcastle, we're expanding our existing local team and are looking for Azure and DevOps Engineers with a strong FinOps mindset to join us.
We are looking for team members with the capability and motivation to help our customers modernise their technology platforms and ways of working. One of the key success criteria is a FinOps mindset that will lead theoptimisation of platform spend while also uplifting engineering practices, automation, and culture across teams. It's not a "heads-down ops" position. We need you to work alongside engineers, product teams, and leaders to embed cost awareness, automation, and shared ownership into how intelligent and best practice Azure platforms and modern applications are designed, built, and run.
You'll be hands-on with modern Azure and DevOps tooling while also playing a key role in shaping behaviours, processes, and decision-making as our team and capability continues to grow.
Responsibilities
* Building and maintaining automation-first DevOps workflows using:GitHub Actions, Terraform & Terragrunt
* Partnering with engineering and delivery teams to: Embed cost-aware design into CI/CD and infrastructure & Improve platform efficiency without slowing teams down
* Driving FinOps practices within Azure, focusing on cost visibility, optimisation, and accountability
* Creating reusable patterns, pipelines, and guardrails to support scalable cloud delivery
* Working closely with stakeholders to influence people, behaviours, and culture, not just tooling.
* Translating FinOps insights into practical actions teams can actually adopt
Requirements:
* Strong experience in Azure DevOps / Platform Engineering
* Hands-on expertise with: Azure (resource management, cost management, governance) & Terraform & Terragrunt
* GitHub Actions (CI/CD automation)
* Practical experience applying FinOps principles in real-world environments
* A collaborative, relationship-driven approach, you enjoy working with people as much as systems
* Ability to influence and educate teams, not just implement tools
* Consulting or multi-team environment experience (nice to have)
