About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic finance and payroll officer to join our team at Elemera in Perth WA. The Finance and Payroll Officer is responsible for day-to-day finance operations across group accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as end‑to‑end payroll processing. You will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting while working closely with Finance team, HR, site managers, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
* Processing of Group accounts payable, including processing supplier bills against approved PO's in a timely manner, reconciling supplier accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
* Processing of Group accounts receivables, including invoicing within contractual terms, credit control, assisting with customer queries and account reconciliations.
* Assist with management of intercompany transactions.
* Supplier & customer account applications and credit checks.
* Fortnightly payroll processing in Xero, including project timesheet verification.
* Manage bank and credit card reconciliations across the Group.
* Maintain accurate supplier and customer records across in‑house finance and operational systems, as well as online customer portals.
* Support supplier onboarding and compliance documentation in collaboration with HSE and HR.
* Work closely with Operations and Commercial teams across both our Perth & Darwin offices to support project costing, invoicing, forecasting and reporting.
* Respond to payroll and finance queries from employees and stakeholders.
* Prepare weekly reports for internal stakeholders and support month‑end reporting activities.
* Management of other ad‑hoc finance records & assist with any other tasks as needed.
* Assist with the implementation of new finance systems and process improvements.
* Handle financial, payroll, and employee information with strict confidentiality and discretion.
About You:
* 2+ years' experience in a finance and/or payroll role.
* Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and awards.
* Positive, vibrant, and solutions‑focused with a can‑do attitude.
* High level of integrity and the ability to handle strictly confidential information with care and discretion.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Confident using payroll and accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, or similar).
* Desirable: Exposure to ERP or system implementation projects.
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Must be Perth, WA‑based.
