We’re looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly production team at the Mt Barker Factory, supporting our chocolatiers and pastry chefs in producing handcrafted chocolates, pastries, and desserts enjoyed across South Australia.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of the day-to-day operations in our chocolate production kitchen. You’ll assist with food preparation, cleaning, packing, and maintaining smooth workflow throughout the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and production of chocolates, desserts, and pastries.
- Pack and label finished products with care and accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workspace.
- Wash dishes, sanitise equipment, and manage waste disposal.
- Support the kitchen team with general tasks as needed.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Hardworking, reliable, and eager to learn.
- Able to follow instructions and work well within a team.
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen or production environment.
- Focused on quality, hygiene, and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
Previous experience in a kitchen or food production role is helpful but not essential—we’re happy to train the right person with a great attitude and willingness to grow.
