A rare and rewarding opportunity exists for a General Practitioner to join this Aboriginal corporation's multidisciplinary team in Parmelia on a permanent part-time basis.
This is a growing Aboriginal Medical Service committed to providing holistic, culturally safe primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This is an exciting time to join as they expand services and deliver innovative health programs to the community.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering high-quality clinical care in the clinic and community settings, aligned with best practice standards.
* Contributing to the maintenance of high-quality health services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Supporting and mentoring other health staff and trainees, including Aboriginal health workers and medical students.
The Requirements
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or equivalent
* Current AHPRA registration as a general practitioner
* Commitment to culturally safe care and the philosophy of Aboriginal community control
* Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills
* Current National Police Clearance, "C" Class driver's license, Working with Children Check
* Fully Covid-19 vaccinated
* Desirable: knowledge of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and the issues facing these organisations in their service delivery
