Research Associate - Modern Slavery Remedies in Indo-Pacific Fisheries
A key role awaits in a prestigious research project addressing modern slavery in Indo-Pacific fisheries. As a research associate, you will contribute to the identification of practical and legal obstacles to remedies and propose solutions under Australian, regional, and international laws.
This position is connected to the Australian Human Rights Institute and associated with the Business and Human Rights Centre via Professor Marshall. The successful candidate will report to Professor Justine Nolan and have no direct reports.
* Conduct high-quality research on modern slavery in fisheries, focusing on remedies.
* Disseminate research through publications, presentations, reports, and submissions.
* Present findings at conferences and in media outlets.
You will participate in meetings, research activities, and administrative tasks. A Master's or PhD in international human rights law, labour law, law of the sea, maritime/admiralty law, or related experience is required.
