Join Our Allied Health Team and Help Improve Patient Outcomes

Join our Allied Health team at Beaudesert Hospital as a Permanent Full‐Time Allied Health Assistant, where you'll support Occupational Therapy clinicians in delivering high‐quality patient care while working within a collaborative and supportive health‐care environment.

About This Role

Your new role:

* Assisting with individual and group therapy programs as delegated by allied health professionals
* Supporting patient mobility, personal care, and safe manual handling
* Preparing and maintaining therapy equipment, materials and assistive devices
* Providing basic patient education on defined topics as directed by clinicians
* Monitoring patient progress and reporting outcomes to the supervising therapist
* Maintaining accurate patient records in line with organisational guidelines
* Assisting with equipment monitoring, stock control and ordering
* Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support person‐centred care

About You

You are a motivated and reliable team member who enjoys working in health care and supporting patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals. You bring strong communication skills, sound organisational abilities and a commitment to safe, quality care, with:

* Experience working in a health‐care or clinical environment
* The ability to implement delegated patient interventions under supervision
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and staff
* The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and understand scope of practice
* Good time‐management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
* A commitment to patient safety, service quality and culturally respectful care
* A proactive approach to learning and professional development
* While not mandatory, a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance will be well regarded

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care. We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health‐care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and five more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
