Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:The Sustainability and Climate Specialist will be the technical lead for Ventia’s emissions inventory, including calculation and management of the Scope 3 emissions inventory. The role involves ensuring robust and documented data processes to support climate-related disclosures and measurement of progress against targets.This role offers an opportunity to have a real impact on various industries across Australia and New Zealand, joining a high-performing, passionate team with broad industry experience and development opportunities within ESG focus areas, including climate-related disclosures as part of the Ventia group sustainability team.This is a permanent, full-time role, ideally based in the Melbourne Cremorne office, with work-from-home flexibility. Other locations may be considered.Key Accountabilities:Support and deliver sustainability activities.Build relationships with stakeholders for emissions expertise.Maintain and improve Scope 3 emissions inventory.Ensure data governance and documentation.Identify opportunities for data improvement and automation.Participate in emissions assurance engagements.Analyse inventory data for climate action planning.Key Skills and Experience Required:Minimum 5 years in sustainability, climate, or carbon measurement.Strong understanding and demonstrated experience of Scope 3 measurement.Degree qualified in sustainability, carbon accounting, or a related discipline.Genuine passion for climate solutions.Familiarity with GHG protocol and carbon accounting tools.About VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company operating across Australia and New Zealand.
