Job Description
Swan Auto Repair Pty Ltd t/a Swan Auto Repairs Motor Mechanic (ANZSCO: 321211 - MOTOR MECHANIC (GENERAL)) Full-time/Permanent $78,000 - $85,000 (salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience)
Duties and Responsibilities
* Detecting and diagnosing faults in engine and parts
* Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
* Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
* Inspecting and certifying vehicles for road-worthiness
* Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
* Repairing and replacing worn out and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
* Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as: oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
* Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant AQF Cert III including 2 years of on-the-job experience or Cert IV
* A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience may replace the requirement of having a qualification.
* Applicants with qualifications must demonstrate 1 year of relevant experience.
