Make a Real Impact in Victoria's Emergency Recovery
Following the recent bushfires across regional Victoria, Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV) is mobilising additional support to strengthen relief and recovery outcomes for impacted communities. We are seeking four experienced Senior Regional Relief & Recovery Officers to support operations across the Grampians and Regional West.
About the Role
As a Senior Regional Relief & Recovery Officer, you will support ERV's regional operations by coordinating planning, community engagement and program delivery before, during and after emergency events.
Key activities include:
* Council and Resort Liaison & Engagement - building trusted relationships with local government and community stakeholders.
* Planning Support - assisting with relief and recovery planning across the region.
* Grant & Program Support - supporting the delivery of state-funded recovery grants and initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Preferred experience includes:
*
o Background in communications, community engagement, or project/program management.
*
o Experience in emergency response, community support or recovery operations (highly regarded).
*
o Strong stakeholder engagement skills across government, community and industry.
*
o Ability to manage priorities and work in complex, evolving environments.
Essential requirements:
*
o Ability to work hybrid, with no planned leave during the 12‑week assignment.
*
o Full Victorian driver's licence (travel across the region required).
*
o Flexibility to work after hours or weekends, by agreement.
Work Environment
*
o Base can be home-based or from a local regional office.
*
o Approximately 75% work from home, with regular regional travel.
*
o Part of the Regional Recovery West team, supporting the Grampians and broader regional areas as needed.
