About the Role:
As an Assistant Farm Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of farm activities, livestock, and pasture management. Your primary goal will be to ensure high standards of animal welfare, machinery upkeep, and operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Farm Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth functioning of the farm
2. Implement effective grazing management practices to optimize pasture quality and feed availability
3. Manage and monitor the health, feeding, and general care of livestock
4. Maintain and monitor electronic dairy systems, ensuring accurate data management and system functionality
5. Collaborate with the Farm Manager to monitor progress, provide updates, and communicate any operational concerns
6. Perform routine farm maintenance and adhere to machinery upkeep schedules to ensure all equipment runs efficiently
7. Contribute to a positive and productive team environment
8. Participate in on-site and off-site training to enhance your skills and industry knowledge
