You will produce exceptional written, visual, audio and multimedia content for the Business School and BusinessThink, and engage with core stakeholders. This is an on-campus role in Kensington, NSW with hybrid working available.
Remuneration and Location
* Remuneration: $113-123k + 17% flexible superannuation and leave loading

Role and Responsibilities
As Multimedia Journalist embedded in the UNSW Business School, you'll work with professional and academic stakeholders to produce high-quality content across text, visual, audio and multimedia formats. Create, curate and publish engaging content related to upcoming research priorities, media opportunities and annual business calendar media activities to enhance the School and BusinessThink. Apply strong digital capability, including SEO and GEO techniques to optimise content and guide development of new material across digital platforms to communicate complex research and ideas from the School and beyond the University. Reporting to Content Editor – Business, you'll help advance the School's media and content strategy and enable real-world application of academic insights and industry engagement.
Who You Are / Skills & Experience
We're looking for a digitally skilled writer who can translate complex subject matter into industry-relevant insights and act as the interface between academics and industry, creating high-impact content across text, visual and multimedia formats.
* Demonstrated experience as a news and/or business journalist with high-level writing skills and proven content production expertise.
* High proficiency in digital publishing across platforms; strong understanding of digital best practice, content optimisation, amplification strategies, SEO and GEO. Ability to analyse data and analytics to inform content decisions.
* Good understanding of target audiences with an effective writing style and high-impact messaging.
* Impeccable attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency; ability to bring media content to life.
* Ability to learn and utilise new technologies (including relevant AI platforms) to improve productivity and scale responsibly and ethically.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships to deliver high-quality content and engaging external media.
