We're on the lookout for service technicians to work from our depot at Griffith. You may be an experienced mechanic specializing in diesel engines, or a technically skilled professional eager to refine and expand your expertise. This is your opportunity to step out of the workshop and into a role that offers field work and autonomy.
What You'll Do
* Service and repair frost fans on customer sites
* Use your mechanical expertise to assess, diagnose and resolve issues
* Work autonomously across the region — travel, overnight stays, and weekend work may be required during peak season
* Liaise directly with growers and contractors to coordinate service visits
* Accurately complete service reports and paperwork
* Maintain high safety standards in every job
* Occasional travel is needed, including seasonal overnight and some weekend work
What You'll Bring
* Either proven mechanical experience — ideally working with diesel engines, ag equipment, or industrial machinery
* A solid understanding of mechanical safety, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance
* Or you might have just 1-2 years' experience ready to take direction and learn new skills
* A self-starting mindset — ability to work independently and manager your own workload
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights
* Confident using digital tools for reporting and scheduling
Desirable (but not essential)
* MR truck license
* Forklift license
* EWP license
