Position: Technician - Field Service (2/1) Residential $5000 sign-on bonus (conditions apply) Annual Salary (paid monthly) Super Annual Bonus Benefits Karratha Residential We are looking for a talented Field Service Engine Technician to join our team in Karratha. You will perform engine diagnostics, repairs, scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance for our customers, both on site and at the Karratha workshop. Our customers span across Mining, Marine, On Highway, and Power Generation sectors. The role is residential based in Karratha on a 2:1 roster with a substantial location allowance. Karratha offers natural adventure, modern facilities, and is ideal for families and boating enthusiasts.
In this role, you will: Provide first-class service to customers in automotive, mining, marine, and power generation sectors. Complete repairs and maintenance of Cummins On Highway and Heavy Duty products, attend breakdowns, and service marine customers on and offshore. Diagnose and repair gen sets for industrial and power station clients. Engage in engine rebuilding and reconditioning. Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, reporting issues to the Field Service Supervisor. Complete documentation including service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business systems. Qualifications and experience needed: Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Australian standards). Experience in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment/engines in field service; Cummins experience preferred. Experience working in remote locations. Strong diagnostic and IT skills.
