NAGS is the largest and leading auto glass wholesaler across Australia and the South Pacific region. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Forrestdale distribution centre in a full-time Storeman/Driver role.
Overview
Role Overview
Based in Forrestdale and reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role operates Monday to Friday and involves completing both morning and afternoon customer deliveries. Our delivery routes service customers south of the river as well as twice-weekly runs to Albany and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will work on a rotating roster and must hold a current manual C Class driver's licence with a clean driving record. The role is responsible for safely delivering stock to customers, accurately completing, and returning all delivery documentation, and handling returned stock where required. Two days per month, early starts are required to service customers in Albany. In addition to delivery duties, the role will support walk-in customers and assist within the warehouse as needed. This position suits a reliable team player who can work independently, manage their time effectively, and consistently deliver high standards of customer service.
Key Accountabilities
Safety
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
* Identify and report hazards promptly to the Manager or Supervisor
Delivery
* Load, transport, and unload customer deliveries in line with scheduled runs
* Prepare and complete orders for delivery or customer pickup, including confirming quantities
* Maintain delivery docket books and ensure delivery runs are completed on time
* Accurately complete all delivery dockets and paperwork and return as required
* Process returned stock, including repacking and relabelling where necessary
Storeman Duties
* Pick, pack, and prepare orders for customer pickup, delivery, or courier dispatch
* Replenish, rotate, and correctly put away stock
* Safely dispose of damaged or broken glass in accordance with procedures
* Assist with periodic and full stocktakes
* Break down, cut, and dispose of used cartons and crates safely
Qualifications and Skills
* Knowledge of the automotive industry highly regarded but not essential
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment and/or as a courier or delivery driver is favourable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service
* Proven time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
* Physically capable of lifting up to 15-20kg and using trolleys safely
* Current C Class (manual) driver's licence with a clean driving record
