Project Manager to oversee and implement the construction quality control program for our project at Tindal Air Base, Australia.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in QC management and field supervision roles, with a strong understanding of quality assurance procedures, contract compliance, safety standards, and EM 385-1-1.Duties and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in key project meetings including preconstruction, coordination, and progress meetingsLead and document the Three-Phase Quality Control processSchedule and manage Preparatory and Initial Phase meetings and report on outcomesCoordinate with the Superintendent to stop non-conforming work and log deficienciesSubmit daily QC reports with photo documentationCoordinate submittal reviews and maintain submittal registersTrack and review testing activities and maintain logs and reportsMaintain daily updates to as-built drawings and ensure proper documentation of changesEnsure all materials and work are in compliance with contract requirements; maintain a rework logCoordinate with special inspection teams in accordance with project requirementsSubmit punch lists, oversee correction work, and assist with Pre-final and Final InspectionsEnsure completion and delivery of keys, O&M; manuals, warranty documents, and final drawingsPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsPosition RequirementsMinimum of five (5) years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager, or Project Engineer on similar contractsMinimum of two (2) years direct experience as a QC ManagerCompleted the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course within the past 5 years or must obtain within 90 days of awardMust be capable of reviewing construction drawings, speaking and writing English and interpreting critical path schedulesMust be familiar with EM 385-1-1 Appendix Q requirements and able to oversee construction involving activities such as excavation, confined space entry, fall protection, electrical work, cranes, and riggingMust be on-site when work relevant to their area of oversight is being performedEducation and CertificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or a related fieldCQM certification required (current or within 90 days of contract award)Completion of OSHA 30-Hour and 40-Hour Contract Safety Awareness Courses (within 60 days)Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and associated regulationsProficient in Microsoft 365Able to lead a team and coordinate efforts with subcontractors and internal personnelStrong verbal and written communication skillsMust be organized and capable of maintaining accurate and timely documentationAbility to review and interpret technical documentation and enforce contract requirementsMust be fluent in EnglishMust be eligible to work in Australia.Reporting StructureReports to the Project Manager or Quality DirectorMay have direct reports depending on the assignmentTravelWill be required to be on site at Tindal Air Base, AustraliaMust have a valid driver's license and meet company vehicle insurance requirementsPhysical RequirementsThis position requires both field and office work.Fieldwork includes:Walking construction sites, working around machinery, and being exposed to varied weatherLifting up to 40 lbs.
