This is an chance for a Lab Assistant/Technician to join the team.
We have afternoon shift on offer but you will need to be flexible to work days and nights too.
You will be joining a fantastic team, working in the food industry, located in Murarrie.
Shift time 2:00pm-10:00pm - needs to be flexible for days and nights!
Pay rate $34 - $51
The role
- Perform routine quality assurance tasks as outlined in the Quality Policies Manual and associated procedures and work instruction
- Liaise with other Departments on site to ensure continual improvement of products and quality systems;
- Assist in shelf life testing and monitor of Raw Materials and intermediates
- Assist with the Raw Materials releasing if required.
- Collect and retain retention and shelf life samples in accordance with laboratory practices
- Arrange the pre-delivery of finished goods to selected customers
- Ensure that Laboratory and equipment are kept clean and tidy
- Daily calibration of equipment before testing
To apply you will need
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science or relevant laboratory and/or Industry experience
- Appropriate experience in food testing in food laboratories.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous ERP experience, preferably in SAP
- Ability to meet deadlines, self-managed and ability to handle multiple tasks with speed and high accuracy
