About the Business
Our Disability Services division is a high quality, rights-based service with a person-centred philosophy of "Everything about you, with you". This includes a 30 bed Aged Care Facility responsible for supporting people with disability to lead their best lives through delivering high-quality care.
Role Details

Northgate Aged Care Facility is seeking compassionate and skilled individuals to join our team as a Disability Services Officers.
In this rewarding role, you'll work collaboratively with a dedicated team to support older South Australians with disability live with dignity, purpose and fulfilment. Your contribution will empower residents to pursue personal goals and enjoy a high quality of life. You'll play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where each person feels valued and supported. As part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll assist residents with personal care, engaging with their community and support to build meaningful relationships that honour their rights, choices, and individuality.
We are seeking people who:
Have experience working in aged care and a demonstrated commitment to supporting people with disability.
Understand and apply person-centred practices that promote autonomy and respect.
Can support individuals with diverse communication and support needs, with experience in implementing care plans and behaviour support plans to meet the individual resident needs.
Work within the Aged Care and NDIS Practice Standards, contributing to a safe and quality service in an inclusive setting.
Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to learning and development to remain up to date with best practice.

Special Conditions
To apply you must have, and be able to provide proof of the following:
• DIS02 classified role you must hold a Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent), or a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is required to commence employment.
• First Aid or Provide First Aid Certificate.
• National Police Check issued within the last six (6) months.
• National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Check.
• Full Australian's Driver's licence (equivalent to SA Class C).

Screening Checks
If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check, which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the South Australia Police or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS, including periodic assessment during your employment.
