Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a dynamic Manager Surgical Services Improvement to lead the delivery of our Surgical Services Plan 2024-2029.
About the Opportunity
Our Surgical Services Plan 2024-2029 is aimed at revolutionising the planned surgical patient journey.
Our Manager Surgical Services Improvement will drive the implementation of this plan, redesigning clinical pathways, enhancing access, and streamlining surgical services across multiple specialties, including ENT, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Urology, Endoscopy and more.
This is your chance to:
Drive the redesign of surgical services to align with NSW Health strategies and meet evolving community needs.
Lead complex, multidisciplinary teams on a journey to improve inpatient and outpatient surgical care delivery.
Develop and implement innovative models of care that optimise referral management, booking, waitlist management, and patient outcomes.
Collaborate closely with senior leaders, clinicians, and stakeholders to maximise efficiency and expand capacity.
Champion continuous quality improvement through data-driven insights and process improvement methodologies.

About You
You have relevant qualifications or experience, with a strong foundation in public health and a deep understanding of planned surgical care in the public system.
You have led successful service redesign and quality improvement projects, particularly within surgical services, improving access, flow, and patient outcomes.
You are a skilled collaborator who engages stakeholders across disciplines to drive change and deliver results.
You bring strong analytical skills, balancing multiple priorities while evaluating performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
You are passionate about delivering safe, patient-centred care through clinical governance and proven process improvement approaches like Lean or Six Sigma.
