About The Role
The Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator will work across both William Ross State High School and Heatley Secondary College to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of students, staff, and the school community. This role involves implementing and improving the department's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System (HSWMS) and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities Include

* Providing clear, timely, and confidential advice to school leadership and staff on health, safety, and wellbeing matters.
* Collaborating with regional and corporate teams to strengthen local practices and ensure compliance with the HSWMS.
* Monitoring and analysing data to identify risks and trends, and recommending strategies for improvement.
* Facilitating training, induction, and awareness activities to promote a positive safety culture and build staff capability.
* Supporting schools during critical incidents, including coordinating health and safety responses and reporting.

About You
The following traits would be beneficial:

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
* Experience in health and safety management, including risk assessment and incident reporting.
* Ability to analyse data and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
* Capability to deliver training and promote a positive safety culture.
* Proven ability to manage time effectively across multiple campuses.
