The OpportunityBoeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking Expressions of Interest for Engineering professionals (across all levels) to join the MQ‑28 Ghost Bat Production Facility currently being built at Wellcamp Toowoomba, QLD.

What you'll get to do:
Support transitioning the composites fabrication and aircraft assembly capability from our Melbourne facility to the new Toowoomba Wellcamp facilityDeveloping the production system design for the composite fabrication and aircraft assemblySupport the evaluation and implementation of complex automated equipment for the production systemCreate documentation, training & best practice material for automated systemsDevelop manufacturing plans and related work instructions for the aircraft buildDesign and coordinate the build of unique tooling, jigs and fixtures for aircraft assemblyConduct investigations on manufacturing processes to identify root cause of defects, propose and lead corrective action or improvement projectsProvide guidance on the fabrication of composite parts and/or the aircraft build to ensure conformance to engineering requirementsDevelop and execute on the qualification of complex equipment and manufacturing processes to Boeing's business-wide standardsEnsure compliance to safety, regulatory and engineering requirementsMentor and grow a vibrant, high‑performing manufacturing team in a brand‑new facilityPotential 3 to 6 month rotation at Boeing Aerostructures Australia, Port Melbourne
Who we're looking for:
Applicants must hold tertiary qualifications in: Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronic/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering2+ years' in relevant technical disciplinesPrevious experience in production is preferred but not essentialKnowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices is highly desirableEffective communication skills with different stakeholders across the business.Works well with others and encourages team buildingAbility to influence internal and external stakeholders
Security requirement:
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.Approximate start date is late 2026 to Early 2027.
