Position
Role: Maintenance Technician (mid‐senior level)Location: West Melbourne, AustraliaRoster: Permanent shift – 4 days on, 4 days off with rotating 6:00 am–6:00 pm / 6:00 pm–6:00 amSalary: $164,000 – $177,000 gross per annum (incl. allowances in accordance with the Enterprise Bargain Agreement)
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate to support customer service KPIs
* Carry out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance
* Maintain a safe working environment
* Execute the preventive maintenance programme as determined by equipment manufacturers
* Respond efficiently to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime
* Liaise with the Planner and Operations team to assess the impact of breakdown events on customers
* Maintain records of completed preventive maintenance tasks and report variations from plan
* Under breakdown conditions that affect customer service, advise management of resolution options
* Provide cross‐site support to other NewCold Melbourne facilities and off‐site support to satellite sites (Peters / McCain)
Skills & Qualifications
* Qualified Maintenance Fitter and Turner
* Strong analytical and technical expertise
* Computer competency
* Creative problem‐solving skills
* Physical strength and flexibility suitable for a highly manual and hypoxic environment
