Job Opportunity: Plough Crew/Plant Operator
This is a chance to be part of a nation-building project, the Inter City Fibre Network (ICF) initiative.
The role requires working on the installation of optic fibre cables across regional NSW. As a Plough Crew/Plant Operator, you will assist in hauling multiple cables by hand and machinery, perform quality checks, participate in civil activities such as repairing blockages, operate plant and equipment like dozers, excavators, vacuum trucks, winches, mobile cranes, and HR trucks, undertake labouring duties including cutting and repairing fences, and excavation using hand and mechanical methods.
You will work 10-12 hour days, mostly in rural areas across NSW. A generous living away from home allowance will be provided while travelling, along with the opportunity to work with an inclusive site team.
We recommend having your own caravan for sleeping as there is usually no local accommodation available. The ideal candidate will enjoy working away from home or be based in regional NSW, with good mobility to commute to project sites.
As a member of our team, you will receive:
* paid fatigue management day
* generous LAHA (living away from home allowance)
* lots of opportunities for overtime earnings
* double time on weekends
* access to employee benefits which includes discounts on major brands
* access to various Health and Wellness initiatives
