About The Role
The Event Coordinator sits within the Experience Melbourne branch and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Melbourne's reputation as the events capital of Australia.
This role plays a key part in delivering impactful outcomes for our community and supporting the strategic goals of the City of Melbourne.
You'll be responsible for the operations and event producing of projects, primarily across Now or Never and Melbourne Fashion Week (M/FW) ensuring smooth delivery of these high-profile events. The role is critical in managing stakeholders and delivering exceptional public outcomes that showcase Melbourne on the national and international stage.
A Little More About The Role
* Coordinate, develop and deliver key projects and event components within Premier Events, including scheduling, budgeting, infrastructure and contractor management.
* Support the operational delivery across Now or Never, including production schedules, run sheets, on-site event management and stakeholder engagement.
* Manage event logistics such as security, permits, OH&S requirements, accreditation, ticketing and guest experience.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, internal stakeholders, partners and the wider community to ensure events run safely, efficiently and with impact.
* Oversee the management of the M/FW Independent Program, collaborating on curatorial development and partnering with successful EOI participants to deliver a high-quality, diverse and dynamic series of events.

About You

* A flexible and resilient approach to working in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
What Your Experience Might Look Like
* Demonstrated project management skills, with experience in planning, coordinating and delivering major event components.
* Strong administrative and financial management skills.
* Experience working collaboratively in event teams with competing priorities.
* Proven operational and risk management knowledge within large-scale events.
* Experience coordinating multiple logistics streams, including infrastructure, staffing and compliance.
