Position Purpose
A vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and collaborating with various departments to meet production targets. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
Supply Planning / Scheduling (70%)
* Develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer demand, optimize resource utilization and minimize losses.
* Analyze demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to make informed production decisions.
* Collaborate with the production team to ensure work orders are executed according to the schedule.
* Monitor and adjust production schedules in response to changing circumstances, such as machine breakdowns or supply chain disruptions.
* Prioritize production orders to meet customer delivery requirements, considering order due dates and product specifications.
* Communicate production schedules and changes to various departments, including production and customer service, to ensure alignment and coordination.
* Implement and maintain production planning software, tools, and BOM to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Identify and resolve production-related issues and bottlenecks that may affect the production schedule.
* Ensure that efficiency standards are met in all production activities.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to production schedules, on-time delivery, and inventory levels.
* Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
* Attend (in person) Daily Integration Meetings as Planning representative.
* Attend weekly labour planning reviews for respective work centres.
* Attend monthly business reviews for area of control.
* Work with planners ensuring execution is as per tactical and strategic plans.
* Escalate issues including variation in planned performance, purchasing performance, demand/supply imbalance, raw material shortage.
Purchase Orders and Site Transfer Orders (15%)
* Manage Purchase Order through to delivery for specific vendors – Interco and External.
* Monitor supplier performance and escalate non-conformance to buying/procurement team.
Other responsibilities include: (15%)
* Provide support to other team members with leave coverage.
* Participate in activities such as annual stock takes.
* General reporting for the ANZ business as required.
Experience, Qualifications and Competency Requirements
* 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role.
* Tertiary Qualifications preferably in a Supply Chain/Business discipline.
* Exposure to Supply chain & Planning systems and ERP would be advantageous.
