About the Role
As we continue to grow, we are excited to offer several opportunities across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Community Access programs. We support a diverse range of individuals with varying needs, helping them to maintain a high quality of life and achieve their personal goals both at home and in the community.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Supporting daily living activities, including personal care, medication assistance, and household tasks.
* Managing PEG feeding, severe dysphagia, and dementia care (training provided if required).
* Providing transport assistance to appointments, social outings, and community activities.
* Supporting skill development and empowering individuals to achieve their aspirations.
* Accurately reporting on shift outcomes and completing required documentation.
Please note: SIL roles require flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including sleepovers (active and inactive), evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
What You'll Need:
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle with registration and comprehensive insurance.
* Smartphone with a data plan.
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates*
* Blue Card (Working with Children Check)*
* Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Clearance*
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module* (free online at NDIS Commission)
* Experience in PEG feeding and managing severe dysphagia is highly regarded. * (Or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.)
