Your Role
Cisco UK aims to provide the intern with a software development project that offers a genuine experience of working as part of the Ensoft engineering team, utilizing industry-leading development practices. The project will be related to the work that Ensoft's engineering teams undertake and will be a self-contained task that can be completed over a week-long placement.
The intern will be based at the office in Harpenden, which is conveniently located near the station with a rapid connection to London. Harpenden is an appealing town with a vibrant center featuring shops, bars, and restaurants. Nearby St Albans provides a broader social scene with theaters, clubs, and additional city amenities. Both the M1 and M25 are easily accessible by car.
About You
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
* Must have demonstrated a strong interest and aptitude for computing.
* Needs enough programming experience to quickly become productive on a software project, ensuring a rewarding placement.
* Barrier to entry is high, requiring proven academic capability. For example, must be taking or have completed a numerate degree at one of the UK's leading universities. Normally expects all A/A* grades at A-level or equivalent.
* Must be able to live and work in the UK with no additional sponsorship from Cisco.
* Should be sociable and enjoy working closely with others in a collaborative environment.
