* Temporary, Full-Time until September 2027
* Location: Haymarket, Parramatta, or Gosford. Hybrid working 2 days per week in an approved office
* Salary: $105,986 – 124,957 plus superannuation
About the team:
The Governance, Risk, Compliance and Safety (GRCS) team at Service NSW ensures strong regulatory compliance, governance, and strategic oversight. The team safeguards organisational integrity, drives policy innovation, and promotes a culture of accountability and resilience.
Through proactive monitoring and advisory services, the team strengthens the organisation's ability to respond to emerging challenges and supports its ongoing stability and performance within the Department of Customer Service.
About the role:
Are you ready to make a difference by helping shape policies and ensuring they meet legal and organisational requirements?
Support policy development and review to ensure compliance with legal and organisational requirements. Prepare clear advice and documentation, collaborate with stakeholders, and monitor regulatory changes to keep Service NSW informed and aligned.
Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of policies aligned with legal and government requirements. Conduct research and analysis, provide expert advice, and prepare reports to inform decision-making.
Monitor compliance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Coordinate stakeholder consultations and working groups, support effective policy delivery, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement.
About you:
You bring strong analytical skills to interpret complex legal and regulatory information and develop effective, compliant policies. You are a clear communicator with strong attention to detail and are proactive.
You work collaboratively with stakeholders and demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, and adaptability. Knowledge of NSW Government frameworks (or the ability to quickly learn) is valued. You are a team player committed to achieving shared outcomes while maintaining high compliance standards.
Roles are based in Sydney McKell, Parramatta, or Gosford, with flexibility to consider other locations where operational needs allow, including the ability to attend NSW Government workplaces as required.
Salary Service NSW Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $105986 base plus superannuation.
