Job Description
Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities, such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, and water and sewage systems.
Responsibilities
* Engineering Inspections: Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations on remedial works.
* Process Design Engineering: Support the analysis of information and specification of methods and process steps, and the plant, machinery, and equipment required to design and improve manufacturing or material processes.
* Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use change‑management programs to address them.
* Contract Management: Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers, acting as primary point of contact while working within a contract‑management plan.
* Product and Solution Development: Carry out product development and engineering activities; analyze customer needs and define and deliver products.
* Project Management: Work within a project‑management plan to achieve specific goals.
* Engineering Standards Specification: Support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and evaluate their effectiveness.
* Knowledge Management System: Offer support and advice to help others utilize knowledge management systems.
* Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities through training, coaching, and professional accreditation.
* Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the development, feasibility testing, and feedback of proposed engineering solutions.
* Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships using sales or client systems.
