IK2 ) is a small online second hand furniture and whitegoods business. We specialise in quality low cost second hand furniture and whitegoods for students and families around Melbourne.
The main types of items we deal in are household whitegoods and furniture, such as fridges, washing machines, dryers, beds, chests of drawers, desks and dining tables.
We are looking for a reliable customer focused individual to fill a casual position as a delivery van driver / warehouse worker.
The core duties of this role are to:
* Load and unload items from delivery vans / small trucks (all of which can be driven with a car driver's license).
* Drive vehicles to deliver items to customers.
* Provide friendly communication to customers and get items into their homes.
* Pick up items and deliver them back to IK2.
* Clean items.
* Photograph items using a mobile phone and the IK2 system.
* Measure items and assess their condition.
* Perform minor repairs to items.
* Assist with customer service duties.
* Keep accurate records of time worked and payments made / received.
* Be on time for work and follow a specified work schedule.
* Other duties as reasonably required.
The suitable candidate will:
* Have a drivers license to drive a manual vehicle.
* Have recent experience driving a manual vehicle.
* Have availability to work at least two days a week.
* Be reliable and on time.
* Work effectively both as an individual, and paired with other team members.
Additional hours may also be occasionally available, particularly during university holidays when business is typically very busy. Hours can generally be scheduled around routine commitments an employee may have such as university classes, child minding responsibilities or a regular second job.
