Ndis compliance and operations support

Newcastle

Offer description

Overview

I am the owner/director of a registered NDIS business and still work directly on the frontline with participants. I am seeking an experienced NDIS compliance and operations support person to work closely alongside me in helping strengthen and grow the business. I am looking for a genuine all-rounder — someone practical, capable, organised and proactive who can step in and support the compliance, administrative and operational side of the business. This role is more than basic admin and would suit someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and becoming a trusted support person within the business.

Responsibilities

The role includes helping rebuild, update and maintain policies and procedures, registers, forms, intake and onboarding documents, service agreements, consent forms, spreadsheets, document control registers, training registers, rostering-related administration, subcontractor compliance records and monitoring, and general compliance systems and audit readiness. The role will also include supporting subcontractor compliance monitoring, including maintaining records, checking required documentation, tracking expiry dates, and helping ensure compliance requirements are kept current and organised.

Qualifications / Requirements

I would highly value someone with strong business systems and technology skills. The successful person must have demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, maintaining spreadsheets, and managing document control registers. Experience with Xero, OneDrive, Google Drive, Miradore, Apple/Mac-based systems, Apple Business setup, and website-related administration would be highly regarded, however a willingness to learn these systems is welcomed.

Working hours and location

This role will begin at the lower end of the advertised hours, ideally every second Tuesday from 9:00am to 3:00pm (approximately 6 hours per fortnight / 3 hours per week averaged), within the advertised range of 3–6 hours per week. This will be a dedicated working day where I will also step away from frontline duties so we can work together on the business. During this time, I would like to work alongside the successful applicant either via Zoom, from my home office based in Singleton, or in another agreed private workspace, with appropriate regard to privacy, confidentiality and secure handling of information.

Some flexibility around school holiday periods will also be appreciated, with any changes to usual working arrangements discussed and agreed in advance. The ideal person will have experience working with registered NDIS providers, strong compliance knowledge, excellent attention to detail, confidence handling sensitive participant and business information, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently. This role may particularly suit an experienced person seeking a flexible opportunity to step back into the workforce, while building a long-term role within a growing business. The role will begin with set part-time hours, with the potential for additional hours over time as the business grows and expands its frontline staffing and operational support needs. I am ideally hoping to onboard the successful applicant by early to mid June 2026.
