Heavy Diesel Fitter
This role involves working in a team to maintain and repair heavy mining equipment.
* Servicing and breakdown repairs on underground drill rigs and other heavy mining equipment, including Sandvik 514, 517, TH663, Sandvik Jumbos and long hole rigs - Volvo IT's L90 & L120's & Normet.
* Preventative maintenance and defect repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety of the equipment.
* Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
* Accurately scoping jobs and ensuring quality repairs to meet site standards.
* General workshop duties and maintaining a tidy workspace to promote efficiency and productivity.
* Following strict site safety protocols to protect oneself and others from harm.
* Supporting crew members with shift changeovers and handovers to ensure seamless operations.
About the Role:
* We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in WA (Goldfields).
* The successful candidate will have a Trade Qualification - Diesel, Plant, or Heavy Automotive (Cert III - Mobile Plant Technology) or equivalent, and at least 2 years' experience in mining, construction, civil, or heavy machinery maintenance.
* A solid work ethic and team-first attitude are essential for success in this role.
* Australian Manual Driver's License and Full Australian Working Rights are also required.
