About the Role
The Finance Analyst supports a Finance Business Partner and/or Senior Finance Business Partner in managing a faculty's financial and strategic outcomes. The role provides financial analysis, reporting and advice, and works collaboratively with faculties and central finance teams to deliver quality financial services in line with University policies and processes.
Role Responsibilities
* Support faculties through financial management reporting, insights and business partnering activities.
* Contribute to budget preparation, forecasting and formal planning cycles, including scenario analysis.
* Provide financial and commercial advice to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
* Coordinate and support month-end activities, including variance analysis and management reporting.
* Deliver ad hoc financial analysis, modelling and reporting to address operational and strategic needs.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of finance services, processes and reporting.
About You

* Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to provide clear financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
* Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices.
* Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
* Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and reporting.
Experience
* Demonstrated accounting experience in a medium to large organisation.
* Experience delivering financial advice, analysis and reporting to diverse stakeholders.
* Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
* Experience working collaboratively within a finance or business partnering model.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree with CPA or ACA qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $120,827 - $137,609 (HEW8) plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
