Lead the coordination, monitoring and advancement of audit and risk across North West Hospital and Health Service. This permanent full time role provides high level leadership to strengthen governance, patient safety, quality of care and strategic risk management across a diverse rural and remote health service.
About The Role
As the Manager Audit and Risk, you will provide advanced leadership and expertise in organisational risk, audit and governance across North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS). Working closely with the Director of Strategic Planning, Improvement, Risk and Reporting, you will drive a contemporary, evidence-based risk management framework that strengthens patient safety, quality outcomes and organisational performance. This is a dynamic role where you will provide leadership and support to the Board, executive and frontline decision making while embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the service.
* Lead and strengthen organisational risk management, acting as custodian of the Risk Management Framework and ensuring alignment with legislation, standards and the NWHHS Strategic Plan.
* Drive audit and governance excellence, coordinating internal audit activities, facilitating benchmarking, and translating findings into meaningful risk treatment and service improvement actions.
* Embed a culture of safety and improvement, delivering risk education, enhancing reporting and escalation processes and supporting managers to proactively identify and manage emerging risks.

Requirements
* Although not mandatory, appropriate and relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable and will be highly regarded.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
