THE ROLE
As a Trades Assistant, you will support qualified tradespeople across welding, carpentry, and electrical tasks, playing a key role in preparation, assembly, and general labour to ensure projects run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist tradespeople with preparation, assembly, maintenance, and installations
- Move, position, and manage tools and materials efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organisation within workshop and site environments
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision
- Follow established WHS protocols and consistently use appropriate PPE
- Undertake general labouring duties to support timely and high-quality project delivery
ABOUT YOU
You are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to build your career in construction. With a strong work ethic and commitment to safety, you thrive in a hands-on team environment and take pride in quality outcomes.
You will have:
- Experience in construction, workshops, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliability, punctuality, and the willingness to learn
- Physical fitness and ability to manage manual tasks
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- Forklift licence advantageous, but not essential (willingness to obtain desirable)
