You’ll be just minutes from beaches, wineries, and bushland trails on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula only an hour from Melbourne.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work alongside and learn from a highly skilled, passionate, and supportive Internal Medicine team in a dynamic referral environment.Reporting to the Referral Nurse Team Leader and supported by our Senior Medicine Nurses, you’ll play an integral role in managing complex medical cases, collaborating closely with our Internal Medicine Specialists and Registrars to deliver outstanding patient care.Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with advanced diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, endoscopy, and imaging
- Placing and managing IV catheters and feeding tubes
- Monitoring and providing care to hospitalised patients with complex medical conditions
- Supporting clients with empathy and clear communication as they navigate their pet’s diagnosis and treatment
About YouWe’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated nurse who thrives in a busy referral hospital setting.To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- 3–5 years’ experience in referral nursing or a similar role, ideally in internal medicine
- Excellent communication and client-care skills
- Strong clinical abilities and a commitment to continuous learning
- A flexible, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
- The ability to excel in a fast-paced, agile environment
